Jan Passmore's belongs to Auxiliary 4005 in District 9. She joined the Auxiliary on 11/21/1978 on her 16th Birthday.

She joined under her father Orvel Walter who served in the Navy and Earned the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal.

She has held various offices and chairmanships at the Auxiliary level primarily Auxiliary Treasurer and Membership Chairman. At the District Level, she has held all the offices leading up to District President 2015-2016. Currently, serving as the District Secretary. She has served as the District Voice of Democracy/Patriot's Pen and Youth Activities Chairman for approximately 25 years.

She has served on the Department as Dept. Treasurer form June 1998 to June 2016, Voice of Democracy/Patriot's Pen and Youth Activities Chairman 1996-1998, Membership Chairman 2012-2013.

She is engaged to Ken Gelder and together they have 6 children and 4 grandchildren. She is proud of both of her daughters, Jessica Rupprecht and Alyssa McElfresh as they are members of the Auxiliary and have taken on active roles within the organization. Ken and Jan love to travel and explore wineries and craft beer places.
