DeeAnn joined Pvt William P. Tutro VFW Post 4644 in 1986 under the eligibility of her father, Marvin Hamann.  She didn’t become active until 2008.  The Auxiliary President told her if she didn’t become President the Auxiliary would fold.  Her mom, Mariann Hamann, worked hard for the Auxiliary.  She stepped up and became President.  In 2012, the VFW/Auxiliary 4644 consolidated with Pvt. John Lyskawa 7546. She has held various offices and chairmanships in her Auxiliary and District.  She was District President in 2013-2014 under Marilyn Malick.  She was Department Hospital chairman under Past Department President Bonnie Pray. 

DeeAnn has 2 daughters, 1 son, 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson.  She works full time for Blue Cross Blue Shield and part-time for Amazon. She is the 3^rd generation Auxiliary. Maybe one day run for Department Guard.
