Diana joined the Curtis-Wolverton Auxiliary #3243 in
Fenton as a Life Member in 1991 under the eligibility of her father, James
Ward, who served in the United States Navy for 20 years. He served in numerous campaigns including the
Korean War and Viet Nam as well as numerous other sites around the globe. He also served our country as a United States
Air Marshall during the early 1970’s flying high risk flights between the U.S.
and Europe. Diana’s mother, Viola Ward,
also served in the United States Navy as a Corps Wave. Diana is a third generation Auxiliary member
and all three generations having served as Auxiliary Presidents. Diana has also served as 10thDistrict President twice and held many chairmanships on the Department,
District, and Auxiliary levels. She is a
Life Member of both the VFW National Home for Children and VFW Camp
Trotter. She holds memberships in the
Cooties Auxiliary Pup Tent 32 and the Fenton American Legion Auxiliary. Diana is looking forward to being a part of
the Department of Michigan officers team, assisting and mentoring all members
of our organization, and being an advocate for our veterans and active duty
personnel.
